Interactive tools

The readiness check and value tool run in your browser. There is no automatic submission of the result. You can copy it and choose to email it to me. Your readiness answers, selected actions and tracker use this tab's browser storage so you can move between tools. The latest valid value calculation is retained so you can return to it; it joins the combined plan only when you choose to keep it.

Select ‘Save on this device’ to retain tool data between visits; leave it unchecked on a shared device. Clearing tool data removes this site's saved plan and earlier checklist ticks. Storage availability and any saving failure are shown in the tools. Earlier saved ticks can be loaded into the tracker; they mean ‘Ready for review’, not verified.

Result downloads contain the tool information you have entered or selected. No tool data is sent to me automatically. When you choose “Discuss this result”, a copy is carried to the contact page in this tab for up to two hours. You can review, edit or remove it.

On the contact form, tool results are sent only if you tick the permission and submit the enquiry; ordinary contact details are not saved in your tool plan. The contact form, including any results you choose to send, is processed by Netlify, the site host, so I can respond to your enquiry.

Downloaded worksheets

The Excel worksheets are separate files, outside your browser preparation plan. They do not send their entries to Rodara. If you choose to paste findings into an enquiry, those findings are sent with your message when you submit the form.

Website providers

Netlify serves the site, Google Fonts serves the typefaces, and Unsplash serves external photographs. These providers receive technical request information, which can include your IP address, browser details and referrer information. Email, calls and engagements

I use correspondence and notes to respond to enquiries and provide agreed services. The access-controlled data room is open to you, Oscar and an associate bound by confidentiality. Others receive material only on your written instruction. At the end of the engagement, the data room is returned to you or deleted, and Rodara deletes its copy. Rodara keeps its own engagement records, including letters, invoices, correspondence, working papers and reports, for seven years.

The monthly note

If you sign up for the monthly note, your email address is sent to Mailchimp, part of Intuit, to manage your subscription and deliver Rodara Advisory’s emails. You must confirm your signup by email before becoming a subscribed contact. Contacting Rodara or using a free tool does not subscribe you.

Mailchimp processes subscription information, including signup and confirmation records and technical information such as IP addresses, on Rodara’s behalf. Its service providers may process information outside New Zealand. The signup badge is served by Intuit; completing signup may use Google reCAPTCHA to prevent automated signups. See Intuit’s privacy statement. Newsletter emails may record opens and link clicks, depending on the settings used for each email.

Use the unsubscribe link in any newsletter to stop receiving it, or email oscar@rodaraadvisory.com. Rodara uses subscription information for the monthly note and keeps the record needed to respect your unsubscribe preference. You can also ask about access, correction or deletion.

What I don't do

I don't sell your information or share it with Rodara Capital or other connected businesses for their own use. The providers described above process information to run the site, respond to enquiries and deliver the newsletter you request. I don't use advertising trackers on this site. If I add site analytics, it will be a privacy-respecting tool that doesn't identify individuals or use cookies.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it where I'm not required to keep it. Email oscar@rodaraadvisory.com. If you're not satisfied with my response you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner, privacy.org.nz.
